Egress inspections (exit doors, paths to exit)
In accordance with the building’s Occupancy Permit requirements, building egress is required to be inspected quarterly.

Building egress includes exit doors, paths of travel to exits, exits (fire isolated stairways, ramps) and discharge from exits.

What is a “Means of Egress” inspection?

A “Means of Egress” inspection is conducted every 3 months to ensure that the building is safe to evacuate in the event of an emergency.

During our inspection we assess the exit door hardware/operation and check for obstructions which may affect an occupant’s ability to safely get to an exit and then evacuate from that exit to safe refuge.
